Our Disability Services program offers residential housing to individuals with developmental disabilities in a host home setting. Our homes offer an intimate and person-centered residence with compassionate, well-trained support companions. The companions and Inspiritus staff collaborate with state and regional agencies to provide a coordinated plan of care and support.

Disability Services are offered at the following locations: Atlanta, Athens, Albany, Columbus, Rome and Savannah.

Inspiritus works in conjunction with the Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities to provide these services.

Accommodations

Many of our support companions can accommodate a number of medical issues, such as seizure disorder, incontinence, speech disorders, hypertension, and diabetes.

Providing Supportive Homes

Our Disability Services program matches prospective individuals with a support companion and a host home that suits their specific needs. Inspiritus trains and equips support companions to provide personalized care in a family home setting. Our staff works closely with support companions, along with local, regional, and state agencies to ensure a coordinated plan of care for each resident.

Support companions create an enriching and nurturing environment tailored to each individual in our program. Many homes have only one or two individuals so they receive the level of attention and care they deserve.

By establishing supportive homes, our Disability Services program empowers individuals to contribute to their communities and develop independence. Our residents have the opportunity to achieve goals, grow their skills, and lead meaningful and rich lives—all while knowing their needs are met.
