Hope Tree Program 2021

PLEASE NOTE: All gift cards should be received by Thursday, December 16, 2021

The INSPIRITUS Hope Tree program gives the gift of hope to children in foster care, refugee and immigrant families seeking a new life, and adults with developmental or intellectual disabilities who may not otherwise receive a gift.

1) We are collecting 250 $25 Amazon gift cards to be used for our Refugee and Immigrant Services and Children and Family Services participants. You can purchase those online here

2) We are also collecting 155 $25 Walmart gift cards for our Disability Services participants. You can purchase those online here

3) Coats are being collected this year exclusively for new refugees and immigrants who will be spending their first winter in the United States. This includes those who have been resettled as part of the new APA (Afghan Placement and Assistance) Program. Go to Sign-Up Genius for coat donations here

Nashville Disaster Relief Concert

August 29, 2021 (POSTPONED)

Country star Craig Campbell is set to headline the 1st Annual Disaster Relief Concert benefiting Inspiritus on Sunday, August 29, 2021 from 2:30 to 7:30 p.m. at Hop Springs Murfreesboro.
CJ Solar, Presley & Taylor, Mark McKay and Liam Coleman are set to perform, and comedian Reno Collier will be the guest host and MC.

Virtual New Americans Celebration

For the past seven years, the Coalition of Refugee Service Agencies (CRSA) has welcomed over 300 volunteers to the Georgia State Capitol for our annual New Americans Celebration. This year, we invite you to a Virtual Week of Action—commencing February 8, 2021—to ensure our legislators still receive educational materials on the contributions of refugees and immigrants to our state and hear about your support for new Americans in Georgia.

Disaster Relief Paint Drives

December 5 & 12, 2020

Lutheran Church of the Redeemer will be collecting your old paint (which may be cluttering your basement and garage). Paint may be dropped off, along with cash donations of about $5.00 per gallon. Donations will go directly towards Inspiritus' Disaster Relief Efforts.

TIME: 1:00 - 4:00pm
LOCATION: Lutheran Church of the Redeemer: Lower Parking Lot (entrance off 4th street) 731 Peachtree Street NE, Atlanta, GA 30308

Criteria for paint drop-off: All Latex Paint cans or buckets must be at least 25% full of WET paint
- Paint cans cannot be rusty.
- Dried paint is not accepted.
- Paint thinners, stains, and spackle are not accepted.

We had many returning walkers and runners as well as new faces at the Hunger Walk tent at the April 28, 2019 Hunger Walk/Run. Thanks to those who came out to fight hunger with Inspiritus and the Atlanta Community Food Bank! Click here to view team photos from the event.

MLK Day of Service

A day of service to commemorate the life and legacy of  Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

Thank you to all who participated in the Lutheran MLK Day of Service on Monday, January 21.  270 volunteers filled the fellowship hall to assist in 21 service projects benefiting people served by Inspiritus as well as projects hosted by local Lutheran churches.

The day began with the dynamic and inspiring Fearless Dialogues program, which trains and empowers participants to engage in hard heartfelt conversations that see gifts in others, hear value in stories, and work for change and positive transformation in self and other The whole-hearted participation of everyone in the Fearless Dialogues program made for a powerful experience of growth and connection.

Savannah Golf Classic

Thank you to our players and sponsors who supported the 15th Annual Savannah Golf Classic on October 1st and help support families served by LSG in the Savannah area.

Players enjoyed a beautiful day of golf followed by lunch and a silent auction. Awards wwere given for 1st Place Military Team; 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place foursomes, the longest drive (male and female), and closest to the pin (male and female).


Sip Savor Support Wine Tasting

Our inaugural Sip Savor Support Wine Tasting fundraiser benefiting LSG's foster care, adoption and family support programs was a success! Thank you to everyone who joined us for an afternoon of wines, hors d’ouevres and fun on September 22nd at Watershed restaurant in Buckhead.



 Hops for Hope 

Thanks to everyone who came and supported Hops for Hope, a fundraising event to support LSG's Refugee and Immigration Services program, on April 14 at Eventide Brewing in Atlanta.     

Attendees enjoyed the beautiful spring weather on Eventide's patio while sipping on craft beers, chatting with friends and playing lawn games.  Many went home with silent auction items, donated by generous individuals and local companies, and one lucky raffle winner went home with a premium craft beer gift package.
